The Challenge
A delivered airframe carries deviations approved verbally and never written into the build record. It persists because design, planning and shop-floor records sit in three systems with different identifiers.
How It Works
- Reads engineering and manufacturing bills of material, job cards and concessions.
- Matches each serialised installation to its authorised standard and classifies deviations.
- Gives the configuration manager a per-tail gap list before the delivery review.
What It Removes
- Manual reconciliation of as-built to as-designed
- Paper chasing of concession and deviation approvals
- Rebuilding traceability packs for each delivery
Input Data RequirementsEngineering and manufacturing bills of material, job cards, completion records, concession and deviation approvals, serial number histories
Output FormatPer-serial configuration gap register, classified deviation list with approval status, and a delivery-ready traceability pack
“The aircraft is built and nobody can prove which of the three approved standards it was actually built to”
