The Challenge
The opportunity is to eliminate a unit rate carried from the last job, earned value taken from an estimate, and a crew mix nobody costed. The proposed workflow is source-linked, but the current operating baseline and financial value remain illustrative until validated with the client.
How It Works
- One engine builds craft install unit rates and composite crew rates from the field record itself: hours charged, quantities installed, crew composition and conditions, on every job.
- It compares them with the estimate while the work is still running.
- It forecasts the finish from rates actually achieved, and feeds the real rates back into the estimating engine.
What It Removes
- A unit rate carried from the last job
- Earned value taken from an estimate
- A crew mix nobody costed
Input Data RequirementsField tickets, contracts, rate cards, invoices, approval records and accounts-receivable status
Output FormatDashboard showing every crew, its real unit rate, and what it earned.
“The unit rate comes from the field this week, not from last year's job.”
