The Challenge
The opportunity is to eliminate a date built on a quoted lead time, a crew mobilised for equipment that is not there, and a supplier whose record nobody keeps. The proposed workflow is source-linked, but the current operating baseline and financial value remain illustrative until validated with the client.
How It Works
- One engine holds every purchase order, expediting report, shipping notice and vendor document.
- It predicts each delivery date from that supplier's own history rather than from the quoted date.
- It shows which item will move the completion date, which crew is waiting on it, and what the delay costs in craft hours.
What It Removes
- A date built on a quoted lead time
- A crew mobilised for equipment that is not there
- A supplier whose record nobody keeps
