The Challenge
Prices are set by negotiation and none is published, so every tonne of realisation is won by hand. A quote is written on the day's costs, then stays open for weeks. Zinc is up 35 per cent this year. Nobody can re-check every open quote, so some orders are accepted at prices that no longer make money.
How It Works
- Reads and connects the source records named in the proposal.
- The desk reads inbound enquiry emails and attachments and drafts a structured order, every field traceable to the sentence that produced it. It builds a price band from AGIS's own cost to serve, import parity, the zinc price, freight and the duty at the border. It watches the cost behind every open quote and raises its hand only on the ones that have moved. Monthly, it recommends the tonnage mix across the GCC, Europe and the wider region.
- Publishes a source-linked recommendation for General Manager Commercial approval and records the decision.
What It Removes
- Quotes priced on last month's zinc
- Realisation nobody measures
- Re-keying an enquiry by hand
