The Challenge
Diesel and grid power are the largest controllable costs on a mine site, yet energy per tonne is reported quarterly as one blended number. Haul, crusher and mill data sit in separate historians.
How It Works
- Reads fleet dispatch cycles, fuel records, crusher and mill historians and feed hardness data.
- Attributes energy per tonne to haul distance, ore hardness, fragmentation or mill set point.
- Gives the processing superintendent a set-point and haul route change list each shift.
What It Removes
- Quarterly blended energy-per-tonne reporting
- Manual haul cycle time studies by stopwatch
- Guesswork on mill set points after a feed change
Input Data RequirementsFleet dispatch logs, fuel and power meter data, crusher and mill historian tags, blast fragmentation images, feed hardness and assay records
Output FormatDaily energy-per-tonne ledger by circuit and fleet, a ranked change list with expected energy saved, and a monthly decarbonisation attribution report
“We know the site burned the power but nobody can tell me which truck loop or which mill set point spent it”
