The Challenge
Lessons are captured in end of well reports and then filed. The next planner reads them only if they know they exist, and there is no point in the planning process where the relevant lesson is put in front of them.
How It Works
- The engine indexes lessons from OMV's own end of well reports and from public offset wells.
- It matches each lesson to the programme section, operation or formation it applies to.
- It surfaces the matching lessons as the planner drafts that part of the programme.
What It Removes
- Lessons filed and never re-read
- Relevance depends on the planner already knowing
- No trigger point in planning where lessons surface
Input Data RequirementsEnd of well reports, lessons registers, public offset well records, well programmes and formation prognosis.
Output FormatLesson prompts tied to programme sections, a coverage report showing where no lesson exists, and an accept or dismiss log.
“Show me the lesson at the moment I am writing the section it belongs to.”
