The Challenge
Capricorn's 20,024 barrels a day of working interest production became 9,701 barrels a day of net entitlement in 2025. Line item negotiation with EGPC can run to six months. Expatriate costs are contested as a matter of routine. Anyone planning Egypt on working interest volumes is wrong by about a factor of two.
How It Works
- Reads and connects the source records named in the proposal.
- A live twin of the merged cost pool. It classifies every expenditure as it is incurred, predicts which lines EGPC will contest and why, assembles the supporting file before the question is asked, and converts the whole programme into entitlement barrels under 40 percent cost recovery over four years, 20 percent excess recovery and a 27 to 29 percent profit share. Every plan is then stated in the barrels DNO actually keeps.
- Publishes a source-linked recommendation for Chief Financial Officer approval and records the decision.
What It Removes
- A plan built on working interest barrels
- A cost disallowed six months later
- A Norwegian tax habit applied to a PSC
