The Challenge
The opportunity is to eliminate Capital tied up in lines that do not sell, a best seller empty in the store that wants it, and range decided the same way in every city. The proposed workflow is source-linked, but the current operating baseline and financial value remain illustrative until validated with the client.
How It Works
- One engine forecasts demand by line, by store and by week, and recommends the range each store should hold, the depth behind it and the lines that should be exited.
- It reads sales history, local demand, seasonality, supplier lead time and the space each line actually occupies.
- It names the working capital each recommendation releases and the person who signs it off before anything is ordered or delisted.
What It Removes
- Capital tied up in lines that do not sell
- A best seller empty in the store that wants it
- Range decided the same way in every city
