The Challenge
The opportunity is to eliminate an hour lost and never coded, a tow that met the queue blind, and a barge idle past its dwell. The proposed workflow is source-linked, but the current operating baseline and financial value remain illustrative until validated with the client.
How It Works
- A ledger that takes every Oasis trip, compares plan to actual against the position feed the towboats transmit, and codes every lost hour to a cause (fog, high or low water, ice, lock, terminal wait, cleaning) with evidence, closed in the shift.
- On it sit a lock wait forecast 24 to 72 hours out, a fog go or hold call, and an idle watch.
- Boundary: weather, lock, fleeting and assembly only.
